Nell’anno dell’Expo The Vegetarian Chance torna a Milano per la sua seconda edizione che si svolgerà l’8 giugno alla Cascina Cuccagna. Molte le novità previste per questa edizione. Al centro del programma ci sarà il concorso internazionale, che metterà confronto cuochi di tutto il mondo. Il regolamento è stato rivisto e prevederà quest’anno la possibilità di usare in uno dei due piatti i latticini, che invece lo scorso anno non erano consentiti. Più giovane anche l’età dei partecipanti che potranno avere anche 21 anni. Per tutti l’obbligo di presentare un piatto della propria tradizione locale e un piatto a scelta. Il bando è partito in questi giorni e l’ultima data utile per presentarsi alla selezione è il 30 aprile 2015. Ma non ci sarà solo il concorso. Il programma comprenderà anche dei cooking show aperti al pubblico. Quest’anno The Vegetarian Chance sarà gemellato con Ortinfestival 2015, Festival Gastronomico degli Orti Contemporanei, che si svolgerà a Torino a La Venaria Reale dal 30 maggio al 2 giugno.  Ortinfestival, visitato nel 2014 da quasi 40mila visitatori, celebra l’agricoltura, il ritorno alla terra, in una visione contemporanea. In programma: spettacoli, showcooking, shopping e design ecologico. Ideatore e organizzatore del Festival è Vittorio Castellani, da quest’anno anche tra gli organizzatori di The Vegetarian Chance.

In the Expo year The Vegetarian Chance returns to Milan for the second edition, that will be held on June 8 in Cascina Cuccagna. The core of the program will be the international contest, with the participation of chefs from around the world. The rules has been revised and will offer the opportunity to use in one of the two dishes dairy products, that last year were not at all allowed. The age of the participants will be lower and it will be starting from 21 years. Every chef should propose a dish a dish of his local tradition and a dish of his choice. The deadline for submitting the recipes is April 30, 2015. In addition to the contest the program will include  workshops open to public. This year, The Vegetarian Chance will be twinned with Ortinfestival 2015, Gastronomic Festival of Contemporary Kitchen Gardens, which will be held in La Venaria Reale in Turin from 30 May to 2 June. Ortinfestival, visited in 2014 by almost 40 thousand visitors, celebrates agriculture, return to the land, in a contemporary vision. On the program: performances, show cooking, shopping, and eco-friendly design. Creator and organizer of the festival is Vittorio Castellani, this year also one of the organizers of The Vegetarian Chance.
